Nexpand Product Range
It is important to select the correct type of Nexpand product before use. The reaction time of Nexpand is determined by ambient temperature, as well as the temperature of the object to be demolished. Nexpand is packaged in 20 kg cartons containing four individual 5 kg bags.
Type 1
- Temperature range / -05º to 10º C
Type 2
- Temperature range / 10º to 25º C
Type 3
- Temperature range / 25º to 40º C
How to use Nexpand
1. Measure the dimensions of the boulder or rock.
2. Drill holes to a depth that is at least 90% of the rock’s depth.
3. Space the drill holes approximately 250 mm to 300 mm apart.
4. Calculate the necessary amount of Nexpand for the job.
5. Ensure an ample supply of clean, cold water is available before mixing.
6. Combine one box of Nexpand powder with six litres of water.
7. Check the mixture’s consistency to ensure thorough blending.
8. Pour the prepared Nexpand mixture into the drilled holes, filling them up to
about 30 mm from the top.
9. Allow the mortar to set undisturbed for a minimum of 24 hours to achieve optimal results.
10. Avoid blocking holes with solid materials; use a waterproof sheet only in case of rain.
11. The reaction time varies depending on weather conditions, typically ranging from two to 24 hours.

Our quality assurance team will always ensure the best products are delivered to our customers. This ensures that the best quality raw materials are used to manufacture the HS diamond wire. The development of our advanced testing equipment for our R&D team plays a very important role. Constantly developing new and improved bonds keeps us one step ahead of our competitors.
The advantage of rubber wire for granite quarry
1. The advanced rubberising process used adheres better to the beads which supports and protects the inner cable; particularly when the cable takes up small radii, which normally happens at the beginning and end of cuts.
2. The rubber used easily withstands the increases in temperature caused by badly- controlled water spraying. This often happens in a
quarry. As plastic softens and looses its strength, the beads loosen and rotate on the inner core.
3. The flexibility of a cable fitted with rubber is better. This reduces the risk of irregular wearing of the beads, more commonly known
as “flat wear” or the bead ovalisation phenomenon.
4. The 37 kW – 75 kW wire saws are used extensively in quarrying granite. The volume of water required is
between 25—50 L/min. This will depend on the dimension of the cut. With very long cuts it may even require two or more
watering points.

Hydro Bags
Hydro Bags have a thickness of just 2mm and can easily be slipped into the diamond wire saw cut.
They consist of two sheets of high tensile steel welded together using the latest laser techniques.
Water is hydraulically pumped in at a pressure of 30-40 bar expanding them up to 25-30 cm resulting in a thrust force of up to 1000 tons.
By coupling two or more cushions side by side or combined in packs it is possible to obtain greater displacement.
It must be pointed out that our Hydro Bags only use running water as an expansion fluid and not oil as with other hydraulic systems. It is for this reason that Hydro Bags are classified as environmentally friendly.
These are used to separate a large bench or block of granite after the diamond wire cutting has been completed. This is a very specialized piece of equipment, and the actual bag is considered a consumable and available in configurations of 0.5m x 0.5m, 1 x 1m and 1,5 x 1,5m square bags.
NB! HYDRO BAGS DON’T REQUIRE ANY MAINTENANCE FOR THE SIMPLE REASON THAT THEY ARE ONLY USED ONCE.

Core Drilling Bits & Accessories
These products allow for the intersecting of Diamond wire cutting holes. These types of holes are smaller in diameter and take much longer to drill compared with the DTH drilling equipment. This method is considered a little “old fashioned” but is still used in new quarries because the lighter and smaller machine allows for an easier set up and manoeuvrability around a quarry.

Directional Drill Bits and Drill Steel
This process is exclusively used in the dimension stone industry. The shank has been machined round, so there is no rotation of the drill steel. Used primarily in dimension stone quarry for “cutting direction” in pre-drilled holes. This enables the “cut” to be straight and drill further apart. This process is exclusively used in the dimension stone industry.
